Story
Isaac Stuart grew up on his parents' record collection — Carole King, Joni Mitchell, Simon & Garfunkel — the kind of music that made Sunday mornings feel like something. He started writing bedroom demos in 2020, gentle piano-led things, the sound of someone figuring out how to say what he meant. Then he sang "Stayin' Alive," slowed right down, on the Chris Evans Breakfast Show — and Elton John phoned in mid-performance to ask who the kid was. From there it kept building: Wembley Arena for his debut single, a UK arena tour supporting Snow Patrol, three of his songs turning up on Love Island without him ever chasing it. Isaac still writes like it's just him, a piano, and a cup of tea — because it mostly still is. "Champagne" is the newest chapter of that same instinct: a small-town songwriter telling the truth as plainly as he can, and trusting it'll land.
